Development Data Specialist

Salary will be between $47,000 to $52,000 (based upon experience)

Full time position working 37.5 hours per week

Open to candidates in the Orlando, Winter Park, or Tampa areas

Easterseals Florida is currently seeking a Development Data Specialist to support the fundraising efforts of the development team and the organization's officers by organizing and maintaining database in a consistent manner to provide donor and analytical reports thus helping build fundraising strategies, stewardship plans, moves management plans, planning annual budgets and projections. This position serves as the administrator of our DonorPerfect database, including all functions related to data entry, data maintenance and report writing. The successful candidate for this position is detail oriented, proactive, enjoys working in a team environment and has a high degree of self-accountability.

A snapshot of what you will be doing:

• Maintain donor database including demographics, interests, relationship information, donation and solicitation history, gifts, contact notes, and other information as requested
• Helps identify key reports for various roles of the development team members and provides instructional documents
• Process donations, including preparation of donation receipts and donation acknowledgement letters
• Track all pledges in donor database and prepare and send out all pledge reminders to insure timely collection of payments
• Provide user support to development team members including training and database administration
• Provides support to accounting and headquarters team members with back-up reports for gifts made by ACH, EFT, and other direct bank deposits and assists in assigning GL coding for the written receipts
• Coordinate with the Director of IT for any donor database software upgrades, server issues, or other IT issues to maintain system functionality

Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Two or more years of experience in data management or transferable skills with a proven track record of success
• Nonprofit experience preferred
• Data entry experience with proven ability to handle a high volume of data entry while maintaining accuracy;
• Experience with DonorPerfect or similar fundraising/development databases is strongly preferred
• Strong organizational skills and commitment to excellence in work product required
• Detail-oriented person, capable of working under pressure and multi-tasking while working with several projects and consistently meeting deadlines
• Ability to learn new data applications
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Proficient using Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
