Easterseals UCP, is a non-profit service provider in North Carolina & Virginia. We are seeking a compassionate, caring, and dedicated intern to join our collaborative, multidisciplinary, Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team for an internship.
What You’ll Do
Easterseals’ Assertive Community Treatment team is designed to carry out a full range of community-based treatment functions for adults with mental health challenges and co-occurring substance-use disorders. As an intern, you will participate on a team to coordinate initial assessment and the development of the Person-Centered Plan (PCP) and will participate in therapy sessions that involve the individuals being treated. You will also utilize the ACT analytic process to revise strategies and treatment planning, provide modeling reinforcement, redirection and guidance to help develop the independence of the person served.
How You’ll Benefit
This internship is designed to be both educational and practical. In this position, you will learn how to use skills acquired in school and apply them in a professional setting to gain a better understanding of an ACT Team Member.
