Our Salt Lake manufacturing facility is searching for an Maintenance Mechanic to join our team on 2nd shift. This critical position will be responsible for the following:
Reading and understanding engineering prints and schematics;
Examining machines and mechanical equipment to diagnose the source of trouble;
Dismantling or partly dismantling machines and performing repairs;
Replacing broken or defective parts with items obtained from stock;
Ordering the production of replacement parts by the machine shop;
Fabricating replacement parts;
Reassembling machines;
Defining and performing operator checklists and preventive maintenance tasks.;
May work closely with outside contractors
The successful candidate will have a minimum of two years of related mechanic experience in a manufacturing setting. Other requirements include:
Ability to speak, understand, read and write English
Excellent mechanical aptitude
Excellent judgement and knowledge of alternatives when troubleshooting machines
Ability to work with a diverse population of people across all levels of the organization
