We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced individual for the position of Accounting Manager in Santa Ana, CA. Responsibilities:
- Special Projects: Lead and contribute to special projects, including mergers and acquisitions (M&A), demonstrating strategic financial expertise.
- Month-end and Year-end Closing: Oversee and actively participate in the month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Financial Statement Accuracy: Ensure the accuracy of financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and compliance with internal policies.
- Business Unit Variance Analysis: Conduct monthly variance analysis for business units, providing insights into performance against budget and prior year.
- Balance Sheet Reconciliations: Perform thorough reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts, maintaining a high level of accuracy and completeness.
- Cash Reconciliation, Management, and Forecasting: Manage cash reconciliation processes, ensuring accurate forecasting and efficient cash management.
- Audit Support: Collaborate with auditors by preparing client data and addressing inquiries to support successful audit outcomes.
- Annual Budget Development: Work closely with the parent company CFO in the development of the annual budget, providing financial insights and analysis.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field.
- Demonstrate a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in month-end closing and balance sheet account reconciliation.
- Strong background in cost accounting, particularly in a manufacturing environment with experience in job costing.
- Proficiency in advanced Excel functions to support financial analysis and reporting.
- Experience in Profit and Loss (P & L) variance analysis, comparing actuals against budget and prior year.
- Previous experience in managing financials for small business units with annual revenues of less than $50 million.
