Summary
Setting up and operating a variety of machine tools to produce precision aircraft parts. You’ll maintain and comply with all safety regulations, and organize and clean your work environment. You are also responsible for the set-up, inspection, first part buys, and other duties as assigned.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Must be familiar with and comply with all safety policies and procedures.
- Operate metal or plastic fabricating equipment/machinery.
- Set up and operate a variety of machine tools.
- Properly operate hand or power tools.
- Operate precision measuring tools.
- Provide timely accurate information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates.
- Read blueprints within the training and orientation period.
- Read and interpret customer specifications within the training and orientation period.
- Read and interpret technical drawings within the training and orientation period.
- Conduct routine preventative maintenance as directed.
- Examine products or work to verify conformance to specifications.
Position Requirements
- Must have 1-2 years of CNC experience, or certification from an accredited organization in the area of responsibility desired
- Knowledge of CNC machines and tools desired.
- Blueprint reading and interpretation desired.
- Must have resume
Physical and Environmental Demands
- Accommodation is required to read computer screens and documents.
- Prolonged sitting and/or standing.
- Required to push, pull, reach overhead, climb stairs, bend and exert up to 75 pounds of force.
