Eastridge Workforce Solutions is hiring a Document Control Specialist for the leading provider of engineering, DFM, systems assembly, and contract manufacturing services for innovation clients. Our Westborough, MA client provides engineering design, manufacturing, global fulfillment, and aftermarket services to innovation leaders. This is an on-site opportunity, offering a Monday-Friday, 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m. schedule.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Support changes and releases of documentation for Manufacturing Engineers including drawings, bills of material, wire run lists, and work instructions.
- Examine documents to verify the completeness and accuracy of data within the change order process.
- Confer with document originators and other personnel to resolve any identified discrepancies and compile appropriate changes to documents.
- Manage the review, approval, and implementation of the change order process, including chairing the necessary meetings.
- Perform the role of subject matter expert in Document Control procedures and protocols.
- Train Document Control procedures and protocols.
- Recommend improvements to company processes and documentation.
- Maintain and enter data into the company Product Lifecycle Manager (PLM), Enterprise Resource Planning system (ERP), Manufacturing Execution System (MES), and other systems.
- Post document changes to controlled records, release documents via change order process, and notify affected individuals and departments of change approvals.
- Compile, maintain, and archive control records and related files to release drawings and other engineering documents to production and other operating departments as requested.
- Develop work instructions for production processes.
- Support collaborative build processes, on-site or at customer site.
- Participate in decision making activities relating to customer’s needs.
- Respond to changing technology environment.
- Remove obsolete printed work instructions and replace with most recent active revisions.
- Prepare and provide hard and soft copies of production documentation upon request.
- Support and implement processes and tools to provide system reports and company metrics.
- Create memos, meeting minutes, cover sheets, and other documents as requested.
- Provide supervision and guidance to more junior associates as required.
- Perform other Manufacturing Engineering department duties as required.
