We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator/Material Handler to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to transport goods throughout the facility.
- Maneuver and position large and heavy products (up to 15 feet long and 1300 lbs.) with precision.
- Load and unload materials from trucks or containers using forklifts.
- Stack and organize products in designated storage areas.
- Conduct regular checks on forklifts and other equipment to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Assist with inventory management and stock control as needed.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow and meet operational goals.
Qualifications:
- Forklift certification is required.
- Proven experience operating forklifts and handling large, heavy products.
- Strong knowledge of safety procedures and best practices in material handling.
- Ability to operate a forklift in tight or confined spaces.
- Good physical stamina and ability to lift and move heavy items as needed.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Reliable and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
