Eastridge Workforce solutions is urgently seeking a Receiving Coordinator for our Cleveland, OH client, a leader in the the development head protection safety systems. The primary responsibility of this role is to oversee all aspects of incoming shipments, ensuring the timely and accurate receipt of products according to documented requirements. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years' experience in a shipping and receiving role, preferably in a manufacturing environment, and possess strong communication skills, along with experience in import/export logistics. Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate all incoming shipments, ensuring adherence to documented requirements and delivery schedules.
- Collaborate with the Master Planner, Purchasing, and other team members to ensure timely availability of goods for production.
- Manage logistics for inbound shipments, including import processes.
- Work closely with Purchasing to verify receipt accuracy and resolve any discrepancies.
- Maintain meticulous records and reports as necessary.
- Contribute to the Shipping and Receiving Team's efforts to maintain on-time delivery.
Receiving Responsibilities:
- Coordinate logistics for inbound freight, including obtaining competitive quotes and arranging transportation for imported goods.
- Receive all inbound shipments and conduct thorough verification against packing lists and purchase orders.
- Facilitate quality inspections for inbound shipments when required.
- Flag late deliveries or other delivery issues and collaborate with Purchasing to address them promptly.
- Manage Kanban receipts and ensure proper closure of purchase orders.
- Notify recipients of inbound packages and manage the receipt of customer returns according to established procedures.
- Ensure strict adherence to all procedures and work instructions.
- Perform shipping duties as needed during peak periods or to provide backup support.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a shipping and receiving role, preferably within a manufacturing setting.
- Demonstrated experience executing duties outlined in the position profile.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in import/export logistics.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a willingness to adapt to change.
