What are the responsibilities and job description for the Set-Up Machinist position at Eastridge?

Our client is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Set-up Machinist to join their team and support machining functions in Escondido and Carlsbad areas. 6:00 a.m.–2.30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.–11:00 p.m. schedule. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist Machinists in achieving machining excellence.
- Grind all production tooling for optimal performance.
- Edit CNC screw machine abutment and ancillary tooling programs.
- Set up, run, and troubleshoot CNC screw machines.
- Perform initial parts inspection and verification.
- Clean and maintain CNC machines.
- Undertake other duties as directed by the Supervisor or Manager.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- CNC screw machine experience/general machining ability (measuring devices/blueprints).
- Previous cGMP and/or ISO experience is preferred.
- Proficiency in working with small parts and performing repetitive tasks daily.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit, use hands and fingers, talk or hear, and smell continually.
- Frequent standing, walking, and reaching.
- Occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
- Frequently lift and carry up to 25 lbs, occasionally up to 50 lbs.
- Close vision required for using microscopes, reading documents, and operating machines. Distance vision required for driving, if applicable.
- Indoor, climate-controlled work environment with occasional exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
- Moderate noise levels similar to a light industrial environment or household with TVs and dishwashers.
