Assembler

Eaton is hiring an Assembler for the Component Assembly Center in Duncan, SC.

Job Description (not all inclusive): Repetitive manual assembly, verification, and simple packaging of the product according to specifications and requirements of the product. Must be able to lift fifty pounds without assistance.

Essential Functions

• Assemble parts in a repetitive way utilizing materials, hand held tools, and simple machines following established procedures and methods.

• Repair of units.

• Visual inspections of parts used.

• Verification that all materials are properly identified.

• Identify and separate all materials that do not conform according to established methods.

• Bring to the attention of the supervisor or person in charge any abnormality in the product or process.

• Follow all quality and safety requirements established by the company.

• Keep the work area clean and organized.

• Knowledge of manufacturing ordering management.

• Ability to read BOM and wiring specifications.

• Responsible for equipment, machines, and materials in the work area.

• Responsible for production and quality of products made on the line.

• Reading of catalog number.

• Product knowledge.

• Visual accuracy.

• Good hand/eye coordination

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED from accredited institution

• Must live within a fifty-mile radius

• Must be able to learn on the job, adapt to the changes, and become proficient quickly

Preferred Qualifications:

• Three years of related experience

• High level of concentration and close attention to details.

• Excellent interpersonal relations.

• Must be responsive to customer requests both internal and external.
