The expected annual salary range for this role is $101250.0 - $148500.0 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

Our Manufacturing Engineering Manager will manage, direct, and coordinate the Continuous Improvement (CI) and Manufacturing engineering function to ensure the achievement of plant goals with a specific focus on safety, productivity, quality, customer metrics and cost out. They will ensure product line manufacturing processes are standardized and consistently deployed.
- Manage Manufacturing Engineers and Engineering Supervisors. Provide overall leadership and direction for this group. Establish and track meaningful goals for this department in alignment with the Eaton Business System and Plant goals.
- Direct activities to improve productivity, quality, and customer metrics and reduce cost utilizing the Continuous Improvement (CI) and the Eaton Quality System as primary tools.
- Direct CI and manufacturing engineering resources to execute the Eaton Quality System, ESH and MESH programs.
- Direct the site lean coordinator and lean tool champions to ensure the achievement of outcome business results and corporate goals for the ELSS (Eaton Lean Six Sigma Self-Assessment) process.
- Direct the training of the CIF tool experts in the details of all tools, and the Kaizen event methodology.
- Manage the capacity analysis, capital planning process and execution of the annual capital plan for El Paso 2 manufacturing facility. Prepare and manage the El Paso 2 manufacturing engineering department budget.
- Participate in the Strategic Planning by preparing 5-year Quality, Manufacturing Technology, Lean and Capital plans.
- Identify and implement new materials, equipment, processes, technology, and procedures to enhance and improve the product line and its manufacturing processes.
- Identify and prioritize engineering projects and Lean events based on VSM (Value Stream Mapping) results and gap analysis. Drive projects to successful completion as defined by improvements in plant processes and metrics.

Qualifications:
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited institution
- Minimum 5 years of manufacturing experience
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
- Experience in related areas like quality, production, continuous improvement or engineering in a plant
Skills:
- The incumbent needs a widely diversified technical background with strong engineering, business, manufacturing and communication skills
- Must also display in-depth knowledge in the area of Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing Management, Total Quality Management, Planning, Statistical Process Control, Purchasing, Inventory Management and Control, Lean Manufacturing systems and tools
- English/Spanish with good oral and written communication skills
