Eaton’s IS VEH Power Connections division is currently seeking a Wire Operator. This position is based at our Carol Stream, IL location.
This position ensures that blocks and components are cut to print using computerized numerical control machines. Responsible to cut and inspect all parts as per the work instructions for each assigned job.
The hourly rate for this position is $24-$28 per hour.

What you’ll do :
- Set-up and operate Agie equipment and all related components
- Preferred candidates will have Agie EDM experience and Opticam
- Maintain Agie machine and associated tooling, including consumables
- Inspect all work to print to ensure specifications are met, utilizing appropriate measuring equipment
- Maintain all personal measuring equipment ensuring measuring accuracy
- Maintain work area in a clean and orderly fashion
- Performs other duties as required to support the goals of both the team and department
Qualifications :
Basic Qualifications :
- Proficient at CNC programming and machine operation
- Must be able to read blueprints
- No relocation is being offered, must live within 50 miles of site location
Skills :
- Must be good at communication
- Must be able to do basic computer functions and basic math
- Must be able to do basic documentation
- Must be able to follow procedures
- Must adhere to safety & housekeeping rules
- Must be able to sit for extended amounts of time
- Must be able to walk an extended amount
- Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds
- Must be able to work in a moderate noise level in plant
- Must wear hearing protection in posted areas
- Must wear safety glasses in required manufacturing areas
