The expected annual salary range for this role is $101774.97 - $149269.96 a year.

What you’ll do:
The Plating Supervisor is responsible for directing the daily activities and development of plating operators and lab technicians that are dedicated to maintaining regulatory compliance for periodic chemical testing. This person will act as both a technical and operations leader within the integrated process team, which includes manufacturing engineering, quality control, human resources, and materials and logistics. This person is responsible for driving operational excellence and building organizational capability to achieve Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, Cost and Culture objectives.
In this function you will:
- Drive a culture of trust and accountability with team members through clearly defined expectations, continuous feedback, coaching, and appropriate escalation.
- Attract, retain, and develop team members through encouraging a flexible, high performing workforce.
- Partner with team leads to coordinate daily manufacturing schedules and priorities within the production plan to satisfy and exceed customer requirements around delivery and quality.
- Champion continuous improvement efforts by standardizing processes, reducing costs, engaging employees in problem solving, implementing new technologies in partnership with engineering, and driving daily accountability.
- Champion a Safety Culture through using MESH tools, safety best practices, and empowering all employees to take responsibility for their own and others’ safety.
- Partner with Quality Engineering team to align processes and procedures with NADCAP requirements.
- Partner with customer account representatives to ensure proactive customer communication and focus on delivering on our commitments.
- Forecast production capacity and provide insight into monthly cross-functional reviews of financial and operational planning.
- Perform lab work and chemical testing as needed
Qualifications:
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED and a minimum of 5 years of plating or chemical processing experience or bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution and a minimum of 3 years of plating or chemical processing experience
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
- This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. ‘Green Card Holder’), Political Asylee, or Refugee
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or chemical engineering
- Supervisory experience
- Electroplater-Finisher certification through NASF or similar accredited organization
- RCRA, Hazmat, or HazWoper Certification
- Titration experience
- Industrial Waste Water experience
Skills:
- Knowledge of basic plating, passivation, and pickling processes as well as lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles.
- Ability to decipher industry specifications and military standards and ensure Eaton’s processes and procedures align.
- Familiarity with Chemistry platforms and equipment.
- Driver of change and propensity for innovation.
- Ability to convey information effectively to multiple diverse stakeholder groups at different levels of the organization.
- Ability to develop a strong cross-functional network to influence others to get results.
- Ability to evaluate an individual’s performance and provide effective coaching to aide employee development.
