What are the responsibilities and job description for the UTILITY STEWARD position at Eau Palm Beach Resort & Spa?
The Utility Steward will be responsible for completing special cleaning projects as assigned, following hotel specifications and standards. Main position requirement would include transporting garage containers from work areas and kitchens to dumpster, clean garage compactor and other areas as assigned. Assist in other Stewarding functions as assigned.
Please be advised that this position will be PM shifts (5PM - 1AM), five days a week.
- Must be able to lift 20 pounds or more
- Ability to satisfactorily communicate in job-related English.
- Ability to count.
- High school graduate or equivalent vocational training.
- Previous experience in janitorial/cleaning position.
- Familiarity with proper sanitation regulations.
- Certification in sanitation.
- Ability to communicate in a foreign language, preferably Creole.
- Ability to perform duties with attention to details, speed, accuracy, follow-through and cooperativeness.
- Ability to operate designated machinery.
- Ability to exert physical effort in transporting equipment and wares.
- Ability to withstand high temperatures, moisture and noise levels in work areas.
- Ability to endure abundant physical movements in cleaning various work areas.
