Job Summary
Technology at Eaze can be broken into two distinct groups. One is our internal Product and Engineering teams that maintain our delivery and internally developed software. The other is all other IT work. This role is responsible for coordinating, planning, and leading all IT activities within the organization with the expectation of Product and Engineering. The company currently has 68 active locations with more expansion underway.
Responsibilities
Infrastructure Management:
- Oversee and maintain the company's physical IT infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
- Manage and troubleshoot issues related to laptops, local networks, point-of-sale systems, receipt printers, firewalls, and telecoms.
Team Leadership:
- Lead and mentor a team of IT professionals, providing guidance and support in their day-to-day activities.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment to drive efficiency and effectiveness within the IT department.
Vendor Management:
- Collaborate with external vendors, particularly the outsourced IT support company for Tier 1 support, to ensure timely and effective issue resolution.
- Evaluate and select vendors for IT hardware and services, negotiating contracts to ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Manage contracts and agreements with vendors, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions.
- Oversee billing and financial aspects related to IT vendors, working closely with the finance department to ensure accurate and timely payments.
- Conduct regular vendor performance reviews to assess service quality and address any issues proactively.
Security and Compliance:
- Implement and enforce IT security policies and procedures to safeguard company data and systems.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards in the IT domain.
Collaboration with Internal Departments:
- Work closely with internal Product and Engineering departments to align IT infrastructure with software development needs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement technology solutions that enhance overall business operations.

- SSL/TLS Certificates: Understanding the management and implementation of SSL/TLS certificates for website security and data encryption.
- Single Sign-On (SSO) Technologies: Familiarity with SSO solutions for managing user access and authentication across multiple applications.

- PCs, Macs, Printers, Access points, tablets, NVRs/DVRs, CC terminals, Glory Safe, switches
Mobile Device Management
- Simple MDM, WS1, Jamf
- Communication Technologies
- Zoom, Meets, Nextiva, Google Workplace
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field and related experience.
- 5 years of experience working in IT operations with at least 3 years of management experience.
- Experience leading and managing large IT projects and rolling out IT infrastructures across various technologies.
- Excellent working knowledge of computer systems, security, network, and systems administration including databases, data storage systems, and phone systems.
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively and manage time, data, and resources effectively.
- Excellent project management skills and strong ability to prioritize tasks.
- A firm grasp of IT infrastructure and operations best practices.
- Functional knowledge of multiple systems’ software and advanced technical skills with many diverse programs and programming languages.
