About the Team and Role:

eBay’s “North America Seller Decision Science” team is looking for an experienced business analyst to help generate insights, build C2C Seller strategy and roadmap. This role will focus on driving change and improving data driven decision making- through intense data analyses, rigorous truth seeking and actionable insights' discovery. Sellers are the backbone of our business, and this team plays a strategic role in improving our sellers’ experience on site.

The successful candidate will find him/herself surrounded by sharp professionals with diverse backgrounds, operating in a fast-paced, intellectual, and team-oriented environment. This highly impactful role offers the unique opportunity to develop/showcase hybrid skill sets and partner with leaders across the organization. More specifically, the role will partner with seller operations, risk & trust, marketing, product, and other cross-functional teams to execute on all the exciting initiatives we have planned for our C2C sellers.

Here are some interesting problem statements we are working on.

• Seller acquisition and growing seller’s business by making right inventory, pricing, and shipping service recommendations.
• Simplifying listing and shipping experience to give sellers a seamless experience.
• Understanding seller pain points, building business cases and policy recommendations to improve seller experience and fuel C2C seller growth

Job Title: Manager, North America C2C Sellers

To be successful in this role you have:

• Exceptional business judgment and quantitative abilities.
• Customer focus and customer empathy – a passion for doing right by our customers and gaining insights on their experience and how we could make it better
• Strong communication skills and experience distilling and presenting complex analyses into action-oriented recommendations.
• Ability to thrive in a cross-functional environment while juggling multiple responsibilities.
• Good experience with both descriptive and inferential statistics.
• Expertise in SQL, and proficiency in either Python or R and a good understanding of data warehouse architecture is required.
• Expertise in designing and measuring A/B tests.
• Domain expertise in marketplace, sellers, supply chain or a related field is a plus.
