eBay is looking for an ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) Controller to join our SEC Reporting & Consolidations team. As ESG Controller you will play a vital role is helping eBay advance its ESG priorities and initiative.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

This role is a Manager position reporting within the SEC Reporting & Consolidations team. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

• Develop and lead ESG reporting processes, ensuring all disclosures and metrics align with industry and regulatory standards
• Develop internal controls to ensure data collected is complete and accurate from cross functional stakeholders
• Work collaboratively with cross functional teams, including Sustainability and Internal Audit
• Work with external auditors during audits of sustainability metrics
• Monitor sustainability rules and reporting changes over data sources, process and procedures are maintained and aligned with current and future sustainability regulations globally (Ex. SEC, CSRD, and ISSB)

Basic Qualifications:

You are a self-starter with a proven work ethic and also possess the following:

• 5-7 years’ experience in Accounting. Experience in public accounting or large growth company and a CPA is a plus.
• University degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Solid understanding of US GAAP, local accounting and regulatory requirements, SOX and standard accounting processes and controls.
• Effective communication skills - including the capability to listen to the needs of others, articulate issues in a clear and concise manner, and present findings as well as recommendations in both oral and written presentations.

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment in California, Washington, or New York is expected in the range below.

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
