Campus Director of Nutrition

Overview

We are looking for a Campus Director of Nutrition to join our team! This position is responsible for the coordination of the Food & Nutrition Services Department in our Senior Living Community. Responsibilities include leading all aspects of all dining services and ensuring that meals are prepared and presented in accordance with regulations. Responsible for all staff within the department. This nutrition management schedule includes;

• 80 hours every two weeks
• Full time day shifts
• Weekends and holidays as needed

Responsibilities/Job Description

• Plans and develops various menus through Optima Solutions program in compliance with current regulations/requirements. 
• Makes substitutions and revisions as needed to accommodate special diets.(ensure all changes are signed off by Registered Dietitian) 
• Listens to concerns and responds professionally and appropriately. 
• Understands the budget process as it relates to the department. 
• Establish effective relationships with other managers and their staff and other resident centered services to provide efficient resident care. 
• Assist with coordination/planning/implementing interdepartmental activities such as Therapeutic Recreation, Resident Council, Holiday meals, outings such as picnics and other special events. 
• Audits serving areas, kitchen, kitchenettes, dining rooms and dish rooms for sanitation & regulatory compliance. 

Qualifications

Required:

• Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) or Dietetic Technician Certification (must acquire with 18 months of hire date) 
• Food Manager Certification 
• Approved Food Sanitation Safety Course - Serv Safe
• Vocational/Technical Training or Associate Degree 
• One to three years of previous experience

Preferred:

• Bachelor's Degree: Registered Dietitian and/or related field
• Three to five years of previous experience
