Position Summary
The EDI Analyst will provide lifecycle service to clients, from scheduled file loads to ongoing support and troubleshooting. The ideal candidates will have experience in a healthcare setting with a keen eye for detail. Reporting to the EDI Team Manager. The EDI Analyst will act as a subject-matter resource for enrollment and claims teams to improve accuracy and ease of use for internal and external processes.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
The EDI Analyst can expect to be responsible for the following duties daily:
· Responsible for EDI file processing and data reconciliation
· Review and action all enrollment source specific reports
· Provide analysis, support, and guidance on complex EDI transfers
· Review EDI processes and systems to improve submission rate and improve the quality of each encounter with EDI
· Act as backup for teammates
· Other projects as assigned by management
Requirements
EDI Analyst I Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or Healthcare Management or 4 years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree
· 1-2 years of previous experience in a healthcare EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) role
· Analytical and troubleshooting abilities
· Familiarity with EDI X12 including any HIPAA deviations/transactions
· Self-Starter with a drive to resolve complex EDI file issues with minimal direction
