Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced HR Manager to join our family-owned business, playing a crucial role in overseeing all aspects of human resources management. Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, you will be the primary HR contact, responsible for sourcing and interviewing candidates, managing payroll and benefits, handling employee relations, ensuring legal compliance, and fostering employee engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Recruitment:
Source and attract qualified candidates through various channels.
Conduct interviews and coordinate hiring processes with department heads.
Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
2. Payroll and Benefits Administration:
Manage payroll processing, including timekeeping and deductions.
Administer employee benefits programs and address inquiries.
Oversee HRIS software operation and generate detailed reports.
3. Employee Relations and Investigations:
Provide guidance on HR-related matters, including conflict resolution.
Conduct investigations into employee complaints with confidentiality.
Implement strategies to foster a positive work environment.
4. Compliance:
Stay updated on federal and state employment laws and ensure compliance.
Review and update employee handbook and communicate policy changes.
Develop and maintain training materials for onboarding and development.
5. Leave Management:
Administer and track leaves of absence requests.
Communicate relevant leave information to employees and managers.
6. Employee Engagement:
Coordinate employee engagement events and foster camaraderie.
Organize social activities to build a sense of community among employees.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
3 years of HR management experience, preferably in a small to medium-sized company.
Strong understanding of HR fundamentals and employment law.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently.
Proficiency in HRIS software and Microsoft Office Suite.
HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) preferred.
