What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Manager - Environmental position at ECC?
ECC is seeking a Project Manager - Environmental with Department of Defense (DoD) experience (e.g USACE, Navy) for work on POL fuels projects and/or environmental projects, experience on radiological projects a plus. This position is primarily responsible for ensuring that the goals of the project are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters. You must be able to travel, projects could be CONUS or OCONUS. In this position, you will:

- Plan and coordination of activities designated to ensure that goals or objectives of the project are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters
- Attend all in-briefs and out-briefs
- Act as the prime implementer of field activities and tasks preparatory to field activities
- Assist in identifying and performing general labor tasks to achieve project objectives under the direction of the Deputy Program Manager
- Contribute methods of approach and identify solutions to logistical or operational challenges and general field operations
- Review project proposals or plans to determine time frames, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements and allotment of available resources to various phases of project
- Establish / review / direct work plans and staffing for each phase of project and arrange for recruitment or assignment of project personnel
- Review cost status reports prepared by project personnel and modify schedules or plans as required
- Prepare project reports for management, client or others
- Coordinate project activities with activities of government regulatory or other governmental agencies
- Coordinate and update with Project Accountant on Monthly Cost reports
- In addition to the accountabilities above, other responsibilities, tasks and deliverables may be assigned to the incumbent of this position
- Ability to write reports and business correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
- Competent in using Microsoft Office products, email systems, Windows, Outlook and Teams
- Ten years of experience with scheduling and project planning for large environmental / DoD related projects
- Department of Defense (DoD) client experience
- Ten years working knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local environmental law regulations, and guidance as they apply to the region specified in the solicitation
- Solid computer skills
- Education: This position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, construction management, geology, chemistry, or closely related discipline. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for this requirement.
- Travel: Must be able and willing to travel periodically, typically less than 50% depending on the needs of the company.
