What are the responsibilities and job description for the Staff Accountant position at ECC?
ECC is seeking a Staff Accountant. This position is responsible for applying accounting principles and procedures to analyze financial information, prepare financial reports, and ensure appropriate accounting control procedures, including account reconciliations. In this position, you will:
- Prepare month end account reconciliations as assigned
- Update daily cash receipts
- Create daily cash reports
- Reconcile bank statements and petty cash on a monthly basis
- Coordinate with AP, AR, and Payroll on various accounting issues as needed and support related reconciliations
- Assist Senior Accountant in other duties, as assigned.
- In addition to the accountabilities above, other responsibilities, tasks, and deliverables may be assigned to the incumbent of this position
Requirements
- Proven ability to implement programs to address complex needs and problems
- Competent in using Microsoft Office products, email systems, and Windows
- Three years of working experience with Excel spreadsheets
- Two years of accounting experience
- Education: This position requires a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration or related field is required. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for this requirement.
