Job Description:
In the Digital Media Intern role, you will work closely with Digital and Editing teams to support original content for NLSE’s platforms.
Your role will involve understanding the needs of the target market, planning & brainstorming, promotions & advertising through various platforms, and implementation. This is not your average internship; you will be spearheading various projects and will be able to request assignments to expand your knowledge base. This is a wonderful opportunity for anyone interested in learning all aspects of running a multi-sport and general entertainment content platform.
Responsibilities:
Assist and develop skills in the production of local and regional sports content. This includes tape-delayed programming, original programming, studio shows, and live sports production.
Develop knowledge and assist in operation of video cameras, editing suites, and editing software (Adobe Premier).
Demonstrate the ability to understand and expand knowledge of basic lighting, video and audio techniques, and computer-based production applications.
Ability to learn to write professional and engaging sports stories.
Comply with operating procedures.
Participate in the creative process of developing promotional and advertising elements for the network.
Provide story ideas during meetings, with the ability to follow up and provide updates on ideas.
Be willing to work on special projects as assigned.
Adhere to NLSE privacy guidelines to ensure each customer’s privacy.
Maintain regular attendance as required by your position.
Required Qualifications:
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Great interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced, collaborative environment with quick turnaround times.
Highly organized and able to handle several projects at once.
Passion for television entertainment space.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous internship experience within a corporate setting, classroom experience, and/or extracurricular involvement.
1 year of video content editing experience or equivalent.
