We are seeking a Level 2 Technology Services Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support to end-users and internal teams, resolving complex issues, and managing system upgrades and maintenance. The Level 2 Technology Services Technician will work closely with Level 1 Support and other technical teams to ensure the efficient operation of IT systems and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to technical inquiries and support requests from end-users and internal teams.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to hardware, software, and networking systems.
- Escalate complex issues to Level 3 Support or other technical teams as needed.
- Assist with system upgrades, maintenance, and patching activities.
- Ensure adherence to service level agreements (SLAs) for incident response and resolution times.
- Document technical issues and their resolutions for future reference.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement solutions to improve system performance and efficiency.
- Develop and maintain technical knowledge of IT systems and infrastructure.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. (Preferred but not required)
- 2 years of experience in a Level 2 support role or similar technical position.
- Strong technical skills in hardware, software, and networking systems.
- Experience with Windows, Linux, and/or macOS operating systems. (Server/AD/Azure experience are a plus)
- Familiarity with virtualization and cloud computing technologies.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g. Microsoft, VMware) are a plus.
- MSP experience also a plus but not required.
- Valid Drivers License with reliable transportation.
- Upon hiring, must pass a background check and obtain a fingerprint clearance card.
This will be a mostly "in office" position but will have some "work from home" opportunities. On-site visits to customer's office(s) will also be required, as needed.
