What are the responsibilities and job description for the Corporate Counsel position at Ecentria?
The Corporate Counsel is responsible for providing legal support for the Company. Tasks include preparing and managing supplier agreements, non-disclosure agreements, consumer agreements and other agreements; addressing consumer issues; assisting with intellectual property issues, as needed; conducting research and writing, as needed; assisting with any fraud issues; assisting with legal requirements for various promotions; and preparing documents, tracking, and providing support for various legal issues, correspondence and legal initiatives, as needed. This position is also responsible for providing support in monitoring compliance processes within the Company to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, including, but not limited to Export Administration Regulations, International Traffic in Arms Regulations, and other various federal, state, and local regulations. The role assists in performing compliance functions to strengthen compliance and ensure seamless transactions.
Primary Responsibilities
- Work with General Counsel to prepare various agreements, correspondence, and written communication
- Coordinate with internal customers to keep apprised on status of legal reviews
- Assist with development and continuous review of legal templates
- Manage contracts and other documents
- Assist with training of legal and compliance matters
- Assist with maintenance and administration of contracts and other documents, managing document flow through final execution of documents
- Maintain required files
- Review of various documents
- Research various legal matters and assist with company policies, as needed
- Research and writing
- Assist with compliance initiatives and maintenance of system to ensure adherence to applicable laws and regulations
- Satisfy demands of internal customers
- Manage various department projects to efficiently deliver services to internal clients
- Create and update internal documents
Qualifications, Skills & Requirements:
- Bachelors degree and J.D. Degree, licensed in Illinois
- 2-5 years relevant work experience
- Ability to work on multiple projects and project management experience are a plus
- Ability to multi-task, organize and prioritize
- Attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to solve problems and present solutions
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Problem solving and analytical skills
- Exercises judgment based on law and Company policies
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, database management experience
