EchoStar has an exciting opportunity for a MTS 1 - S/W in our Hughes Network systems division. This position will be located at our headquarters in Germantown, MD.
Responsibilities:
- Optimize, monitor, and deploy OSS/BSS COTS and its related infrastructure.
- Develop software scripts for automation and optimization of the following: Virtualization Solutions
- Deploy virtualization solutions such as VMWare and Hyper-V.
- Deploy and manage physical and virtual networks like Cisco, NSX/NSX-T.
- Deploy and optimize load balancers like NSX, F5, and Avni, as well as firewalls like Fortinet, PaloAlto, and NSX.
- Work closely with the development groups to understand the applications in detail and write automation to troubleshoot, deploy, configure, restart, and upgrade applications.
- Develope Splunk, EM7, and AppDynamics dashboards for infrastructure and application status to ensure that everything is running smoothly
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related technical field
- 1 year of prior work experience
Preferred qualifications:
- Proficient in using infrastructure automation tools like ansible, terraform, shell scripts, etc. to automate deployment and optimization tasks.
Will be eligible for discretionary bonus, with funding based on company performance.
