What are the responsibilities and job description for the Evs aide position at Eclaro?
Position Overview :
- Responsible for daily cleaning and sanitizing of patient rooms and all other corresponding unit areas.
- Will follow prescribed departmental cleaning standards in conjunction with infection control and safety procedures.
Responsibilities :
- Sweeps, dust mops, and wet mops
- Vacuums, spot cleans walls, cleans glass / ledges
- Sanitizes patient room surfaces, sanitizes bathrooms
- Performs discharge cleaning of patient rooms
- Cleans equipment and notifies the supervisor or lead person of equipment requiring repair. Reports safety hazards to supervisor or lead person.
- Collects trash from patient rooms, nurses' stations, ancillary areas
- Pulls trash outside around the grounds of the facility
- Cleans and sanitizes ancillary areas
- Assists in cleaning of emergency spills observed or reported.
- Performs any other tasks which may be assigned by the supervisor or lead person.
Qualifications :
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions. Good communication skills. Capable of operating cleaning equipment such as vacuums
- Knowledge : 3 months 1 year of environmental services experience in a hospital, high school diploma or equivalent GED (preferred).
- Skills : Follow oral and written instructions. Good communication. Capable of operating heavy cleaning equipment such as vacuums, housekeeping carts, etc.
