General Summary
The Assistant Controller is responsible for financial reporting to the Board of Directors and bank regulators, budgeting, asset and liability management, and assisting with loan and deposit pricing. He/She helps ensure the timely and accurate administration of Finance Department operations. Works collaboratively with numerous areas of the company, as well as outside vendors, to complete daily objectives.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for the daily management of all accounting functions in order to ensure that the financial records accurately represent the bank’s financial position and results of operation.
- Prepares and files quarterly bank and holding company call reports.
- Manages FHLB borrowings and collateral certification.
- Oversees reconciliation of various internal and external company accounts.
- Prepares monthly financial statements.
- Ensures accurate and timely journal and data entry.
- Serves as a primary liaison between the Finance Department and other areas of the company.
- Coordinates with internal and external auditors, providing deliverables as needed.
- Pulls various reports through Journey Technology and Fiserv Precision core system.
- Assists Chief Financial Officer with special projects of varying complexity.
- Actively demonstrates and fosters the Eclipse corporate culture in all actions and words.
- Complies with all bank regulations for assigned job functions and designated job responsibilities. Keeps up to date on regulation changes. Follows all Bank policies and procedures, compliance regulations, (including those of the Bank Secrecy Act) and completes all annually required, and job-specific training.

Minimum Requirements
- Minimum 4-6 years of experience within a bank or bank accounting/audit firm.
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Finance or Accounting.
Abilities required
- The ability to be effectively organized in a fluid environment
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Highly analytical and able to synthesize complex or diverse information
- Ability to build rapport and trust to expand internal and external relationships.
- Self-directed, critical thinker.
