The Battery Changer Technician is directly responsible for performing battery watering, cleaning in accordance with pre-determined schedule, periodic maintenance, cable repair, connectors, watering system, battery cell replacement and troubleshooting on various models of motive power batteries and chargers
Job Functions:
- Changing batteries on all equipment utilized throughout the shift
- Perform routine cleaning and watering of all batteries in accordance with pre-determined schedule
- Complete all routine lubrications
- Able to troubleshoot and diagnose material handling equipment battery and charger components
- Safe and efficient operation of MHE equipment
- Additional duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
- 1-2 years of preventative maintenance experience (preferred)
- High communication skills both written and oral
- The ability to work in a physically demanding warehouse environment – continuously lifting and moving up to 50lbs
- Ability to work independently, while staying on task
- Strong background in maintenance repair and preventative maintenance programs
- Overtime/Weekends will be required during peak/seasonal volumes
- Required to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
- Reliable transportation with the ability to arrive on time
- Must be eligible to work in the US - We participate in EVerify
