What are the responsibilities and job description for the AR SS Payment Clerk position at Eco Enterprises LLC?

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Record customer payments (e.g., credit card, checks, wires) for multiple locations daily
  • Maintain daily logs
  • Reconcile payment journal against banks
  • Monitor payment history
  • Work with other departments throughout the company to help remove obstacles that may prevent customer payment
  • Research, resolve and communicate and discrepancies or outstanding balances on customer accounts, including telephone, mail, or email correspondence.
  • Assists with daily, monthly closing of A/R records and maintaining A/R files including year-end files.
  • Perform other related duties and assignments as required, including but not limited to assist with various audit requests, SOX payables controls and SOX expense approvals.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Must be familiar working in a high volume.
  • Strong organizational, analytical and account reconciliation skills.
  • Ability to manage confidential information in a discreet, professional manner.
  • Ability to collaborate with customers and employees at all levels of the organization promptly and professionally.
  • High integrity and work ethic.
LANGUAGE / COMMUNICATION SKILLS
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)

COMPUTER & MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

  • Experience in D365 or similar ERP is a plus.
  • Computer skills in Microsoft Office, Excel and Internet savvy.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations including calculations of percentages and discounts.

REASONING ABILITY

  • Ability to exercise good judgment; makes decisions in logical and rational manner; demonstrates “common sense", practical and stays cool under pressure.
  • Ability to gather facts, analyze problems in depth and break down into components.
  • Organized with strong sense of priority and commitment to deadlines.
  • Must possess strong analytical skills that enable one to distinguish discrepancies, be able to find and implement resolutions for those problems.

  • Must be able to work overtime with minimal notice to meet deadlines
  • Generally air-conditioned, smoke-free office environment, though it will be necessary to work on production floor and other areas of the company when performing some tasks.
