Service Dispatch Coordinator

Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Service Dispatcher. As a Service Dispatcher, you will play a crucial role in coordinating and dispatching service requests to our team of technicians. Your strong communication skills and ability to multitask will be essential in ensuring efficient and timely service delivery.

Duties:
- Receive incoming service requests via phone or email
- Gather necessary information from customers to accurately assess the nature of the service needed
- Dispatch technicians to customer locations based on their skillset, availability, and proximity
- Coordinate with technicians to ensure they have all the necessary information and resources for each service call
- Monitor the progress of service calls and provide updates to customers as needed
- Maintain accurate records of service requests, dispatch activities, and customer interactions
- Assist with data entry tasks related to service orders, customer information, and billing
- Collaborate with other departments such as logistics and shipping/receiving to coordinate the movement of equipment or parts as needed
- Utilize transportation management systems and logistics software to optimize routing and scheduling

Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a dispatcher or in a similar role preferred
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
- Proficient in data entry and computer systems
- Familiarity with logistics, freight, or transportation management systems is a plus
- Knowledge of GIS (Geographic Information System) software is an advantage
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in record keeping
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
