Job Summary
We are seeking Field Training Specialists (FTS) who have a passion and skill for developing sales and service knowledge and expertise in other associates. Field Training Specialists will play a crucial role in on-boarding new field associates and providing ongoing training and championing best practices to develop the skills of all Field associates. Additionally, the Field Training Specialist will assist with critical Area business initiatives as directed by the Area Manager.
Primary Job Responsibilities
- Teach and model safe work practices to ensure all associates are safely performing their job duties.
- Follow an established curriculum of practical, in-field practice activities on warewashing, laundry, surface hygiene, and pool & spa on assigned TRIT's cohort schedule.
- Oversee the in-field practice and certification process for an assigned Area, working with a peer Field Training Specialist (2 FTS per Area), District Managers (DMs), and Senior Territory Representatives Laundry to ensure all field practice activities have been completed and associates can demonstrate required proficiency.
- Serve as the liaison between Institutional Training and the Field to ensure trainees and managers participate and complete training requirements as expected, including ensuring TRITs are on track with their TRIT Onboarding Program and TRIT certifications are completed on schedule.
- Facilitate established Customized Area Training (CAT) sessions to deepen knowledge and expertise in our tenured associate audience. Work closely with Institutional Training on the priority, logistics, and reporting of all CAT programs.
- Complete Field Training Specialist Train-the-Trainer program to learn basic principles of adult learning theory, coaching, facilitation, and overall expectations of the Institutional Training programs. Additionally, Field Training Specialists will be required to be individually certified to teach CAT programs (laundry, pool & spa, EDP/warewashing, etc.) which may require additional certification (e.g., Certified Pool Operator).
- Champion adoption and best practices for ES&S and coach on excellent service calls and how to complete RSC’s.
- Provide support to the Area Manager for critical business initiatives, including BI reporting, scheduling, managing AR and idles and the development of high potential talent.

Location & Travel:
- Ideally, the candidate would live within the XXXXXX market.
- Travel within assigned geography to deliver training to field associates within approximately 3 hours driving radius. Some overnights may be required.
- Travel to Eagan, MN (Institutional Training Center) for train-the-trainer programs annually.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2 years of Institutional service and/or sales experience.
- Proven mechanical problem-solving experience related to foodservice, hospitality, long-term care facilities, and facility locations. This includes expertise in warewashing, housekeeping, laundry, and/or pool & spa.
- Willingness to follow prescribed lesson plans and ensure critical skills are consistently transferred on the job for trainees.
- Ability and passion for building sales and service expertise in other associates.
- Excellent verbal and presentation communication skills.
- Proficient with Ecolab Sales & Service (ES&S), standard Microsoft tools (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word), and social collaboration tools (Microsoft Teams/WebEx Meeting Center).
- Must have a valid driver's license and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record.
- No Immigration Sponsorship is available.
Preferred
- Associate's and/or bachelor’s degree.
- Experience training, teaching, and coaching others.
- Excellent written communication skills.
- Proficient with advanced Microsoft Tools like SharePoint, Stream, and PowerBI and social collaboration tools like WebEx Training Center.
