What You Will Do:
- Plan, initiate, and assist with training of operators. Assist in cross-training workforce on standard procedures.
- Provide direction and issues work assignments for other team members
- Identify safety hazards through safety audits and initiatives. Recommends corrective actions
- Ensure team is meeting all safety, productivity, and quality goals
- Ensure constant communication with management on daily activities and challenges
- Ensureall personnel on the shift are performing required transactions completely and accurately
- Troubleshoot process problems and develops improvements
- Assume responsibility for shift in supervisor's absence
- Ensure all documentation is complete
- Assist in preventative maintenance and repairs of system operations
- Assist in manufacturing schedule optimization and updates for shift change
- Lead and actively participates in Kaizens, 5S, TPM,and special projects
- Ensure completion and integrity of all documentation
- Other duties as assigned
Position Details:
- Plant location: Elk Grove Village, IL
- Work week and shift: 1st shift Monday -Thursday 6am-4pm
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED
- 2 years of Ecolab plant experience or previous plant experience in a related field
- No immigration sponsorship offered for this role
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to lift/carry 50lbs
- Must be able to pass a drug screen and physical exam
Preferred Qualifications:
- TPM knowledge and experience
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing & Six Sigma systems
- Basic computer knowledge
- Professional experience coaching, mentoring, and providing feedback
- Excellent communication skills
- Previous forklift operating experience
