Position Description:
Ecompex is recruiting data analysts to be a part of a team supporting installation service functions for the Department of Defense. This team is integral to ensure readiness of military installations. Our team will use data driven insights to allocate the appropriate resources to sustain and support Marine Forces. The ideal candidate will have experience as a data analyst in military environments and be familiar with installation readiness initiatives.
Anticipated start date is mid-late September 2023. Work will be on-site near Jacksonville, NC.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be a US Citizen and be able to pass a Tier 1 background investigation to be placed in a position of Public Trust.
- Must have at least a Secret Clearance
- Master’s degree in a relevant field
- Advanced proficiency with statistical software (VBA, JavaScript, R, Python, .Net, SQL, C#, HTML and CSS)
- Experience programming in at least one of the following languages: VBA, JavaScript, R, Python
- 5 years of experience as a data analyst or data engineer
- Knowlegable about operation research techniques and data models
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience working with Navy / Marine Corps, or another military branch
- Knowledge of military installation systems
Required Skills:
- Extensive experience with Microsoft Office suite including SharePoint, Word, Excel
- Strong communication, written, and verbal skills
- Ability to research, analyze data/trends, and present to executive level leadership
Responsibilities:
- Analyze significant functions affecting military readiness. Identify internal and external processes/resources to mitigate risks
- Codify and communicate readiness definitions in support of operational readiness
- Maintain installation readiness systems
- Prepare reports and presentations that convey data trends and analyses
- Provide education and training for policies, guidelines, and data analytical programs
- Serve as a key analyst and provide recommendations and insights to leadership
- Perform research analysis and applications using innovative research methods and advanced statistics
