Responsibilities:
- Operate vehicles and heavy equipment for collection and production activities
- Driving large box truck and managing totes for food scraps collection route
- Collecting horse manure with tractor and dump truck
- Performs manual tasks for facility operations and maintenance work, which includes heavy lifting
- Record keeping – ie. recording collection data and compost pile temperatures
- Work in inclement weather
- Follow government and company regulations and procedures
- Other duties as assigned
- Hours: Monday – Friday 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, with occasional Saturdays
Basic Qualifications:
- Valid, clean driver’s license (CDL not required, but commercial driving experience highly desired)
- Strong work ethic, and commitment to EcoVerde’s vision
- Team player, positive ‘can do’ attitude with willingness to learn and be flexible
- Able to meet physical demands that include but are not limited to: lifting up to 75 lbs, sitting or standing for extended periods of time and working in inclement weather and a noisy environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with tractor/heavy equipment operation
- Basic computer skills
