What are the responsibilities and job description for the RC 14001 Training Coordinator position at Ecovyst LLC?
Training
Design site-wide Training Management System for BTR site based off of departmental and regulatory needs.
Provides direct support to department leaders to determine training needs and continuous improvement of training.
Review all training that is required to be taken by site employees.
Coordinates new training initiatives.
Develop and measure training related KPI’s.
Maintain training matrix within the Training Management System for BTR.
Assist in development of site specific training module updates and implementation.
Enter all training records into Training Management System.
Schedule and coordinate all needed training.
Develop training presentations as needed for with content provided by site specialists and from monthly General Safe Work Permit Audit metrics.
Provide regularly scheduled reports on training completion to respective managers.
Provide communications to employees as necessary on changes in training needs.
Manages Onboarding process for all new hires.
Conduct various safety-related training in conjunction with HS Specialist: New Hire HSE LCP classes & testing, HSE refresher training, ERT drills and training.
Assist Operations & Maintenance department with coordination of required refresher trainings.
Update TMS to reflect any changes to the HSE Training matrix class refresher frequency.
Enter all completed unit training into the appropriate Training Tracker (ERT/Site Training Tracker).
Point of contact for BTR site on all training issues.
Liaison with Safety Council for Contractor and Visitor training.
Update or create training procedures as needed.
Site Programs
Liaise with contractors about safety issues. Recommend program improvements.
Work with HS Specialist to manage the site HSE TOC
Quarterly Management Planned General Inspection
Coordinate monthly GSWP audits in conjunction with HS Specialist.
Update HSE Score Card Monthly
Manage and maintain the Operating Procedure Review Program & Refresher Testing
Manage the site Equipment Specific LOTO program.
Member of site ERT (at minimum QI/IC)
Assist with regulatory audits and action items
Personnel Safety Activities
Member of the site Safety Committee and help implement action items of Safety Committee recommendations.
Active participation in turnaround safety.
Assist in controlling hazardous working conditions and unsafe employee activities through interface with various levels of Management and Supervision.
RC14001®
RC14001® Implementation and maintenance
Aspects and Impacts, Communication Grid, and Legal Register implementation and maintenance.Responsible to update the aspects list as new information becomes available (such as spill investigations, ministry/agency inspections, internal/external audits, process changes, etc.).
Review PQ RC14001 manual, determine need for updates to site practices.
Establish Consistent Document Control
Heath and Safety Responsibilities:
Completes computer base training to comply with health, safety, & environmental requirements and policies.
Recognize hazardous situations and recommend corrective measures.
Attends safety meeting monthly.
Assist area leadership so that all process safety action plans are completed in a timely manner
Be a visible presence on site to promote good health and safety practices and reduce risks.
Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required –
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university preferred
3 years of manufacturing experience required. Prefer(chemical plant / refinery experience or similar industrial setting)
One plus years of experience working in an ISO driven environment
AND
Transportation Worker’s Identification Credentials (TWIC)
