What are the responsibilities and job description for the Videographer position at ECPI University?
Overview
This position is based at our Virginia Beach, VA campus location.
We are seeking a talented Videographer/Editor, capable of conceptualizing, producing, and editing content for University activities and promotions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Film and edit strategic content of video and audio products for broadcasting, video streaming, and digital distribution. • Be prepared to assist in pre-production needs such as talent identification and scheduling, storyboarding, scripting, or location scouting • Transports and sets up lighting and audio equipment as required; • Plans and performs video post-production tasks which includes interpreting key stake holder feedback and direction, reviewing footage, making editorial decisions, video transcoding, rough cuts, audio adjustment, color correction, and final editing;• Coordinates talent, vendors and ECPI University staff schedules and location information.• Collects and maintains all Talent release forms ensuring they are signed and up to date.• Export final product to the direction for various platforms, including social media outlets (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter) or Television • Content may include promotions, campus information, corporate communications, and more • Photo support as needed for marketing projects including PR, Social Media, Collateral or Video production projects.
Qualifications
Qualifications • Ability to communicate effectively in-person, phone or via email with all levels of the organization and student body required.• Photo, film or creative production background required with the minimum of a bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.• Must be proficient and knowledgeable of mainstream video software, preferred the current releases of Adobe Premiere and After Effects• Intuitive or basic creative conceptualizing experience • Strong attention to detail and awareness of project scope and delivery dates • Must have demo reel to showcase work; online portfolio is a plus
Travel/Other• 15% - 20% Travel required with some overnight.• Extended work week and weekend work hours might be required.
