Commercial Flooring Estimator– $55,000-$75,000 – Tampa, Florida
The Role
Do you have experience in evaluating construction documents and creating precise bid proposals? Are you detail-oriented with strong negotiation skills? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you.
As our Commercial Estimator, you will play a vital role in our pre-construction process. You will evaluate project documents, provide quantity surveys, and create official bid proposals. Your keen eye for detail and strong communication skills will be essential as you negotiate and manage projects from initial submittals through procurement and project turnover.

Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate project documents, provide qty survey(s) and create official bid proposal(s).
- Negotiate and manage projects through submittals and up to procurement and project turnover.
- Participate in daily docket “Bid Board” call for bid assignments and updates.
- Review Plans, Specs, Addenda & RFI / ASI documents
- Communicate with Team, General Contractor(s), Architect(s), Vendors and Stakeholders to establish complete project scope(s).
- Review completed proposal with Exec Team prior to submission to client (checklist, labor, GPM, misc.)
- Prepare and submit complete bid proposals prior to bid deadlines.
- Work with Purchasing Agent to advise correct materials for project, vendor pricing and est. need-by date(s)
- Review and edit scope language to align with bid proposal.
- Confirm contract value.
- Complete applicable portion of contract process and submit to Controller & Procurement.
- Prepare shop drawings indicating flooring scope, materials, pattern layouts, dimensions, details, etc.
- Prepare project submittal data through Spec-Intel platform.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
- Proven experience as a Commercial Flooring Material Quantity Estimator.
- Proficiency in Measure Square Software or similar flooring estimation software.
- Strong understanding of commercial flooring materials, installation methods, and industry best practices.
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of construction and project management a plus.
