Financial Analyst

ECS is seeking a Financial Analyst to work in our Quantico, VA office. Please Note: This position is contingent upon contract award.

Job Description:
The ideal candidate will be required to accomplish the following:

• Determine the feasibility of automating government financial business practices. 
• Support definition of government financial business practices and incorporate processes into an automated solution. 
• Assist in applying sound accounting and data processing principles. 
• Integrate government financial business practices. 
• Identify potential problems and solutions through analysis and recommends solutions. 
• Work with functional specialists, vendors, and customers to effectively automate requirements. 
• Apply applications, while adhering to established accounting principles and practices.

Required Skills:

• US Citizen.
• Must have a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 4 years financial analyst experience. (Additional experience can substitute for degree.)
• Solid understanding of Service Contract Act (SCA)
• Solid foundation of finance/accounting principles, practices, and procedures.
• In-depth knowledge and experience with federal budgeting, financial management, accounting protocols and procedures.
• Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, etc...)
• Ability to operate effectively under pressure/deadlines
• Flexible and adaptable

Desired Skills:

• Experience in staffing for a government contract/contractor
• Ability to think outside of the box
