ECS is seeking an HR Assistant to work in our Fairfax, VA office.
Job Description:
In collaboration with the entire HR Team, this role provides superior support and expertise to a wide range of internal clients.
The ideal candidate will undertake a variety of HR administrative duties. The HR Assistant will be proactive, resourceful and efficient while maintaining a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
- Maintaining HR file room, creating and maintaining employee files (hard and soft copy)
- Assist members of the HR team with related tasking
- Verifications of employment
- Copying, filing and scanning documents
- Performing file audits to ensure that all required employee documentation is collected and maintained
- Compiling reports and spreadsheets and preparing spreadsheets
- Assist with collecting completions of training documentation from employees
- Processing incoming mail
- May assist with entering new hire or employee personnel data into various software programs
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Skills:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must be adept at problem-solving, including being able to identify issues and resolve programs in a timely manner
- Must possess strong interpersonal skills
- Must be able to communicate clearly, both written and orally, as to communicate with employees, members of the HR management team, and in group presentations and meetings
- Must be able to effectively read and interpret information, present numerical data in a resourceful manner, and skillfully gather and analyze information
- Must be able to prioritize and plan work activities as to use time efficiently
- Must be organized, accurate, thorough, and able to monitor work for quality
- Must be dependable, able to follow instructions, respond to management direction, and must be able to improve performance through management feedback
Desired Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- One (1) to Two (2) years of administrative experience, preferably in Human Resources
