ECS is seeking a Senior Atlassian Developer to work in our Fairfax, VA office.
Job Responsibilities:
- Capable of independently applying a wide set of engineering disciplines for planning, design, automation, analysis, coding, testing, roll-out and support of information systems architectures.
- Analyze available technologies for recommendations for applicable use and best practices.
- Track and manage system performance and identify ways to optimize performance
- Research and identify new tools that can improve the overall system and services
- Provide advanced configuration of the Atlassian suite of tools
- Analyze, research, manage, and implement integrated Atlassian tools, plugins, and applications
- Build reports to provide deeper insights into the capabilities of the tool suite
- Development of script/web apps to extend functionality of the system
- Help define how information systems may be upgraded or replaced
- Translate business requirements to technical specifications
- Adherence to best practice standards
Required Skills:
- Must be a US Citizen
- Ability to gain DHS Public Trust clearance
- A Bachelor's degree in an IT discipline. (1.5 years of experience may be substituted for every 1 year of required education.)
- 7 years experience in computer programming and analysis of complex information systems, application, or operating system software
- 5 years experience with Atlassian development
Desired Skills:
- 2 years’ experience in Linux system administration
- Experience working with source control (GIT) and CI/CD pipeline
- Experience with relational databases (SQL)
- Experience with Typescript/Javascript (Angular 2 )
- Experience with web development (HTML/CSS, PHP)
- Experience with backend scripting tools (Python, Bash)
- Working knowledge of Apache HTTP Server
- Hands-on experience using REST APIs
- Experience with GitLab and Nexus
- Working knowledge of Java, Groovy
- Experience with Ansible
- Knowledge of Agile and principles and applied best practices required
- Experience consulting in a Federal agency, especially within DHS
