ECS is seeking a Senior Naval Architect to work in our Silver Spring, MD office.
Job Description:
Provide broad engineering and technical leadership for current and future NOAA maritime related work. Proactively work with personnel from within the company as well as the customers (at various levels) to identify emerging program requirements and develop strategic acquisition plans for implementation. Develop and review technical documentation for compliance with contractual requirements. Mentor and train junior engineers in the areas of Naval Architecture and Structural Design. Must be willing to and capable of performing requirements development, analysis of alternatives, design reviews, trade-off studies, engineering analyses, and risk assessments as required. Additional duties may include drawing review/modification, vessel stability analysis, technical writing, contract management, and configuration management. Effectively interface with ABS, USCG and other regulatory agencies. Some travel will be required.
