Job Description:
ECS is seeking a Technical Lead to work as a member of a team managing and maintaining multiple network enclaves to support the DoD community. This is a demanding, high-energy position requiring innovative solutions to infrastructure, network, hardware, and software problems. The candidate will design and implement cloud environments in AWS and Azure cloud, and help design, implement, and maintain the virtual infrastructure of multiple enclaves. The ideal candidate will have a breadth of expertise in cloud networking concepts (VPCs, Shared VPCs, Direct/Interconnect, DNS, Load Balancing, and Firewalls), modern CI/CD pipeline, platform automation, and infrastructure development supporting these technologies. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills.
Job Responsibilities:
- Work closely with stakeholders and other members of the technical team to gather technical requirements and execute on deliverables.
- Develop, implement, and maintain secure systems in AWS/Azure to support highly-available, scalable, and secure applications.
- Design and execute architecture blueprints and bring solutions to reality with a DevSecOps mindset and culture.
- Develop and configure build plans, code pipelines, and create automated solutions that can be reused.
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge and provide hands-on experience with a wide range of AWS/Azure cloud service providers/solutions.
- Assist in partner network integration, testing, and monitoring.
- Support risk mitigation activities such as Assessment and Authorization (A&A), continuous monitoring, and vulnerability and configuration management.
Required Skills:
- U.S. Citizen.
- Active Secret security clearance, with the ability and willingness to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) discipline.
- Minimum 5-7 years of professional experience building cloud architecture with IaaS, PaaS offerings, and services in commercial and government regions.
- Minimum Department of Defense (DoD) 8570 IAT Level II compliant.
- Proven experience in assessment, evaluation, and documentation of client environments, infrastructure, processes, and operations.
- Hands-on knowledge and experience implementing DoD SRGs and STIGs or CIS compliance benchmarks.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience developing solutions with cloud orchestration tools.
- Experience with AWS native CI/CD tools such as CodeCommit, CodeDeploy, CodePipeline, etc.
- Strong scripting skills (Python, Ruby, Perl, Bash, Powershell, etc.).
- Strong knowledge and experience with virtual desktop interfaces.
- Strong knowledge and experience with Active Directory.
- Strong knowledge of IP Networking, including VPCs, VPNs, VRF, DNS, load-balancing, and firewalls.
- Experience and understanding of Infrastructure as Code, Automation, and Orchestration.
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently and meet project deadlines with limited supervision.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Political savvy to confront difficult problems in a positive and creative way.
- Demonstrated ability to expertly balance multiple, competing priorities and execute accordingly.
- A motivated, self-starter who enthusiastically tackles challenging operational problems and can quickly grasp and implement creative solutions.
Desired Skills:
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, or similar discipline.
- AWS Solutions Architect Associate or Microsoft Azure Administrator certification.
- Experience with DevSecOps Frameworks.
- 4-5 years of experience designing and deploying large scale distributed environments within commercial cloud environments.
- Experience using big data and cloud tools and technologies.
- Experience working with DoD computer network organizations and/or performers.
- CompTIA Security and/or CISSP certification.
