Position Summary
Provide a professional level skillset to assist the Senior Leadership of the Centralized Business Office (CBO). The CBO is an ever-changing face-paced environment that bills both hospital based and professional based claims to a variety of payors. In the CBO, there are a broad range of workflows to manage that necessitate critical thinking skills to determine proficiencies, optimize revenues, and ensure compliance with both governmental and private payor requirements. This role will work directly under the leadership of the CBO management team.
Responsibilities
1.Assist in the review and interpretation of new billing requirements, assisting in the design and implementation of operational workflows.
2.Researches ways to enhance hospital revenues.
3.Assists in the implementation of financial improvements and tracks achievement of objectives.
4.Review CBO vendor contracts to adjudicate accurate invoicing and payments.
5.Reviews billing office workflows and outcomes to create recommendations for performance improvement.
6.Exercise proficiency in payor portals.
7.Evaluates internal and external data on billing activity, identifying trends and opportunities for improvements in net revenue.
8.Monitor and evaluate gross charges.
9.Creates regular and ad-hoc reports for CBO leadership to assist in the decision-making process.
10.Assist in outcomes of the payor contract management system to ensure account payments are expected.
11.Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
Minimum Requirements
Four year college degree is required- or higher. BBA, BS or BA with a major in Accounting, or related degree is required.

In order to generate the experience necessary to perform this job function, it may be required to rotate through the Centralized Business office functions to gain firsthand knowledge of the overall healthcare billing processes.
