The Used Vehicle Purchaser reports to the Director of Oak Hill Sourcing.
Responsibilities:
· Review and seek out vehicles to source through Private Party listings and utilize sources, such as Classifieds, Facebook, Autotrader, KBB ICO, etc.
· Appraise vehicles, understand vehicle conditions, reconditioning costs, arbitrations, transportation, negotiation of price and marketing of vehicles, all through proper analysis and decision making. Required to be an expert in these areas.
· Understands market trends and ability to adjust by geographic region and seasonality.
· Provides guidance and support to dealerships, as it relates to purchasing used vehicles.
· Reviews and analyzes actions at the end of each day, week, month, and year to determine how to better utilize time and plans more effectively. Buyer accountable for all purchasing decisions and vehicles sourced.
· Requires working in fast-paced team environment, being effective as a self-starter and working individually to meet monthly targeted goals.
· Establish and maintain professional relationships with store management teams, customers and vendors.
· Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
· vAuto, KBB ICO and Online buying experience preferred.
· Strong attention to detail, focused results, sense of urgency, exceptional communication and ability to analyze data and make appropriate decisions.
· Willingness to admit and learn from mistakes. Be accountable of all decisions. Ability to receive and apply feedback provided.
· Belief in the team, ability to remain positive and consistently focused on driving results for the success of the company.
· Previous auction and dealership buying, selling or marketing experience preferred.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office
· College Degree preferred; High school diploma or the equivalent required.
· Willingness to undergo a background check in accordance with local law/regulations.
