Administrative Assistant for College & Career Accelerator (CCA) Program
Reports to : Director of Career Pathways and Workforce Readiness

Job Description : EdAdvance is seeking a qualified applicant to provide clerical and organizational support to school administrators, teachers, and students within the College & Career Accelerator (CCA).
The qualified candidate will be professional, organized, and able to work independently.
Major Responsibilities :
- Maintain enrollment, daily attendance, and student records via PowerSchool
- Liaise between school administrators, students, and student families
- Perform telephone and personal reception duties for all building staff and visitors, including screening calls and respond to inquiries
- Order program supplies
- Participates as a key member of the Safety and Security Team, assisting with emergency procedure protocols and drills
- Prepare reports submitted to CSDE and for internal use
- Schedule and organize meetings and appointments for school administration and teaching staff
- Produce and distribute correspondence to CCA and EdAdvance staff, RESC districts, and students' families
- Collaborate with the director to effectively manage the yearly start and end of school such as preparation of class lists, the director’s annual report, distribution of cumulative records and transcripts, notification of teacher assignments, packets for teachers and students, and processing of requisitions
- Coordinates student lunch and snack supply with Food Service Department and / or purchases at local stores; facilitates the delivery of school lunch for students
- Accounts for petty cash and reconciles funds and receipts each month
Qualifications / Requirements :
- High school diploma needed; Associate Degree preferred
- Prior experience in educational secretarial and clerical practice
- Ability to solve problems, work independently, and to handle and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent computer application and word processing skills (including Word, Excel and Google Suite; calendar, sheets and docs);
- Moderate knowledge of special education policies and procedures
- Experience within the CT-SEDS platform
- Candidate must exercise considerable discretion in the protection and release of confidential information
- Ability to work in an environment that can be bustling and loud
- Demonstrate aptitude with Zoom, Google, and Teams applications
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to represent EdAdvance in a professional manner to members of the community and other stakeholders
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Physical Requirements :
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time
- The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
- Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer
- Occasionally ascends / descends stairs
- Requires pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 25 pounds
