Edera is seeking a lab technician to support phlebotomy services for DC’s Department of Behavioral Health. Provide phlebotomy Services on the consumers of the DBH/ Behavioral Health Services Division (BHSD) Clinic located at 35 K Street, NE Washington, DC 20002 on four (4) days per week, Monday through Thursday from 8:30 AM until 12:30 PM, excluding approved holidays and all days that the District Government is closed.
Background:
DBH provides clinical services and Emergency Care Comprehensive Behavioral Health and Substance Use Disorder Services for eligible District Residents through a network of Community Based Providers and unique government delivered Behavioral Health Services. The BHSD located at 35K Street, NE Washington, DC 20002 is in Ward 5. This building houses an Urgent Care Clinic, Intellectual and Development Disabilities Program (IDD); Deaf and Hard of Hearing Program (DHHP), Residency Clinic, a Pharmacy, Medical Records Office, Forensics Outpatient Division Program (FOPD) and the Community Response Team (CRT).
Hours: Monday - Thursday 9:00am-2:00pm
Required Skills/Qualifications
- Current Laboratory Technician Licensure
- Current certification in phlebotomy
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience
- Resident of District of Columbia
- Proficient in Microsoft products: Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams
Preferred Skills/Qualifications:
- Knowledge of EHRs
- Proven ability to work independently with minimal oversight
- Proven problem-solving skills with ability to analyze situations, identify existing or potential problems, recommend, and implement solution
- Proven ability to develop and maintain a positive team environment
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Professional demeanor, strong work ethic, discrete, resourceful, and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to drive completion of work, consistently meeting deadlines
- Strong organizational and time management skills
