Scope of Position

Looking for experienced Solar technicians to perform maintenance and repairs at new Solar contract in Oahu, Hawaii.
Responsibilities
Lead Solar Technician: leads their team(s) to perform all aspects of support for the Operations & Maintenance department.
Qualifications:
- Licensed Electrician with Substation HV Protections & Controls experience, Engineering Technicians qualification is ideal.
- Will be expected to demonstrate capabilities equaling that of a Senior Solar Technician or greater.
- Experience working with current wind and/or solar technologies.
- Strong computer skills required, including but not limited to creating spreadsheets and reports using Microsoft Software Programs and SAP.
- Ability to follow company QC and Safety procedures.
- Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
Able to provide proof of a current driver’s license and clean driving record, in order to operate company vehicles (field trucks) both on site as well as on public roads and highways.
Senior Solar Technician: Performs unsupervised field maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on one or more types of photovoltaic (PV) power and energy storage systems (ESS).
Qualifications:
- Requires High School diploma or equivalent; or up to two (2) years of related experience or training; or combination of education and experience and a minimum of two (2) years of electrical experience with successful completion of the Senior Solar Technician Qualification Standard and demonstrated safe work habits.
- Must have an advanced working knowledge of solar industry best practices, NEC requirements, and diagnosis / repair of solar generator and energy storage systems including understanding the theory of operation, documentation and schematics, mechanical and electrical controls and voltages, system hazards and mitigation controls, and DAS navigation and fault identification on these systems and sub-components.
- Ability to understand, read, write, and speak clearly in English.
- Successful completion of the Senior Solar Technician Qualification Standard.
- Working knowledge of the National Electric Code and industry related OSHA regulations.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Ability to work in company provided: software as a service (SaaS), data acquisition systems (DAS), and computer maintenance management systems (CMMS). These include, but not limited to; DayForce, Concur, Egencia, Microsoft Suite (Teams, Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint), SAP, Sphera, ECRM, and OEM SCADA systems.

- Extreme weather conditions, including cold, rain, wind, etc.

Pay Ranges by Job Level :
Lead Tech: $27.00 - $44.00
Senior Tech: $30.00 - $50.00
