HSEQ Manager (M/F)
You will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of health, safety, environment and quality initiatives within EDF Renewables Australia. This includes the development, implementation, and monitoring of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with EDF Renewables, local, state, and federal regulations, as well as industry best practices. The role will work closely with management, employees, and regulatory agencies to promote a culture of safety and environmental stewardship.
Your responsibilities:
Experience: 10 years' experience managing HSEQ for companies engaged in the delivery and ongoing management of large scale energy or infrastructure projects
Education : Tertiary qualification in Occupational Health & Safety
Languages : English

Your responsibilities:
- Provide overall HSEQ leadership to the organisation, operating in an advisory role and ensuring a strong focus on safety culture
- Review, develop and implement health, safety, environment and quality policies and procedures, with a focus on practicality and effectiveness.
- Ensure statutory compliance of safety and environment requirements
- Provide health, safety, environment and quality advice and best practices to the organisation
- Identify and mitigate risks and hazards, maintain risk registers
- Engage with suppliers, contractors and consultants on the alignment of their HSEQ management systems with EDFR Australia's HSEQ management framework
- Develop quality and HSE Employer Requirements for Australian contracts (EPC, TSIA, Supply etc.), based on the existing company documents and in line with the federal and state requirements. Provide HSEQ input to procurement and construction processes and contracts
- Oversee the implementation of HSEQ policies by Principal Contractors on Construction Projects
- Monitor and report safety and environmental performance on projects during development and in execution as well as corporate KPI's
- Investigate incidents and near misses to determine root causes and implement lessons learned to prevent recurrence
- Develop emergency response plans to effectively respond to HSE incidents
- Conduct regular inspections, audits and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Support the HSEQ assessment and qualifications of partners, suppliers, contractors
- Train the team on EDF Renewables Australia HSEQ management system, policies and procedures, emergency response protocols and environmental conservation practices
- Take an active part of EDF Renewables Global HSEQ communities.
