We are looking for a Controller to perform effective risk management and plan the organization's financial strategy. The ideal candidate will be an effective and excellent leader and well-versed in all aspects of financial management ranging from simple accounting functions to broad investment and financial operations.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Oversees the operations of the Finance Department, which include, payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliations.
- Oversees training programs and identifies training needs.
Responsibilities:
- Ensuring financial well-being of the organization by providing financial projections and accounting services, preparing growth plans, directing staff, preparing tax returns, income statements, balance sheets, government agency reports, etc.
- Develops financial strategies by forecasting capital, facilities, and staff requirements; identifying monetary resources; and developing action plans
- Develops finance organizational strategies by contributing financial and accounting information, analysis, and recommendations to strategic thinking and direction and establishing functional objectives in line with organizational objectives
- Establishes finance operational strategies by evaluating trends; establishing critical measurements; determining production, productivity, quality, and customer-service strategies; designing systems; accumulating resources; resolving problems; and implementing change
- Compares sales and profit projections to actual figures and budgeted expenses to actual expenses; makes or oversees any necessary adjustments to future projections and budgets.
- Reviews planning process and suggests improvements to current methods.
- Studies long-range economic trends and projects their impact on future growth in sales and market share.
- Responsible for department people management strategies by determining accountabilities; communicating and enforcing values, policies, and procedures; participate in candidate selection, orientation, training, coaching, counseling, disciplinary, and communication programs; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; and planning and reviewing compensation strategies.
- Monitors financial performance by measuring and analyzing results, initiating corrective measures, and minimizing the impact of variances.
- Maximizes return on invested funds by identifying investment opportunities and maintaining relationships with the investment community.
- Reports financial status by developing forecasts, reporting results, analyzing variances, and developing improvements.
- Updates job knowledge by remaining aware of new regulations, participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance required. MBA a plus.
- Certified Public Accountant designation preferred
- Eight to ten years of experience of related experience required
- Manufacturing experience highly desirable
- Proficiency with accounting software, word processing, and spreadsheets
Compensation and Benefits:
- Base salary range between $90,000 - $115,000 based on education and experience.
- Eligible for a bonus plan depending on company and individual performance.
